The proximity between El Paso and Ciudad Juárez offers women opportunities to access reproductive health services across borders. However, the closure of the Mexico - U.S. border during the pandemic, the socioeconomic structure, and the conservative culture of the state of Texas and the state of Chihuahua present additional obstacles for these women.

This investigation exposes the violation of justice to the victims of crimes of three Mexican druglords who were extradited to the U.S. While the Mexican Government evaded proper procedures to seek answers and reparations for the families of the victims, the three men received benefits from the American judicial system.

These three stories show the barbarism and victimization faced by migrants in this border region after arriving from their journey across Central America and their passage through Mexico.

Alejandra de la Vega, Secretary of Innovation and Economic Development in Chihuahua and owner of Arco gas stations, faces questions about her political and economic ties, as well as benefits derived from her position, raising doubts about her transparency, ethics, and potential conflicts of interest in her management.

A collaborative journalistic investigation promoted by the organization Foundation for Justice (FJEDD), in which journalists from our team participated in documenting and analyzing the impact on human rights of the militarization of migration policy, an unprecedented process in Mexico's history. Led by journalist Alberto Nájar, journalists from our team, along with colleagues from other media outlets, combined journalistic techniques with human rights research in cases from Chihuahua and Sonora.

It is a Mexican documentary from 2019 directed by Alicia Calderón that addresses neighborhood resistance against violence toward children in Ciudad Juárez. With one of our journalists, our team collaborated on the production of the documentary during the final filming stage, providing logistical support and information under safe conditions.
